Scarlet Nantes - Very popular nearly coreless variety. Tender, bright orange flesh with delicate flavour. Repeat sowings every 2 weeks until mid-summer for continuous supply of fresh carrots.

Scarlet Nantes (Coreless) - Most popular and dependable home garden variety. Roots are sweet and tender yet incredibly crisp. Bright orange in colour. HINT: for nest flavour, harvest when roots are not more than 5 cm (2") in diameter. Rich loose soil is best. Uniform soil moisture is critical. Nearly coresless. Ideal for freezing.

Nantes Touchan - An extremely high quality carrot. Bright Orange flesh, nearly coreless. Sweet and juicy. HINT: for best flavor, harvest when roots are not more than 5 cm (2") in diameter. Rich loose soil is best. Uniform soil moisture is critical. Companion plants are beans, peas, tomatoes, onions and leeks.

Red Cored Chantenay - Rich colour and sweet, crunchy, thick flesh makes this an ideal home grown carrot. About 14 cm (5 1/2") long when mature. Performs well in heavy soils.

Tenderlong Imperator - Extremely long variety, 25 cm (10") on average! Orange red in colour with dark green tops. Rich in vitamin A and when eaten raw, dietary fiber. Rich loose soil is best. Onion, leek and herbs such as rosemary and sage act as a repellent to the carrot fly. 

Red Cored Danvers - Excellent quality, tender carrot which is a favorite for processing. Half long and pointed, crisp and sweet. HINT: for best flavour, harvest when roots are no more than 5 cm (2") in diameter. Rich loose soil is best. Uniform soil moisture is critical. Recommended for freezing and canning.
